mal wieder nichts zu tun – warte auf den anruf, um den transporter für den umzug abzuholen. Was macht man da?

Ok – habe gestern eine interessante diskussion über kindergarten und day care in Kanada gehabt. Habe mal wieder was gelernt: „Maxim - daycare und Kindergarten sind zwei verschiedene Sachen. Daycare wird privat bezahlt, kann aber subsidiert werden, Kindergarten ist Teil des Schulsystems und kostenlos.“ Schrieb mir Mas aus dem forum: www.thecanadian.de/

Der auswanderer hat dazu als einwanderer natürlich fragen, besonders wenn es eine mutter ist.

Kindergarten soll kostenfrei sein – je nach alter des kindes und der situation in den Provinzen möglich – aber nicht immer garantiert.

kindergarten ist wie schule und die endet um xx uhr. Manchmal dauert der kindergarten nur 2,5 stunden und nicht von morgens 7 oder 8 uhr bis 12 oder 17 uhr. Darum braucht man ein day care centre, damit das kind solange betreut wird, bis es abgeholt werden kann

Es ist ja üblich, dass in kanada beide eltern arbeiten gehen, um auf ein durchschnittsgehalt von rund 60.000 CAD (Canadian Dollar) oder darüber zu kommen.

Da ist die mutter also selten zu hause, um das kind um 12 uhr oder zu einer anderen zeit abholen zu können

Und dann kostet day care richtig geld. Für toronto spricht man von rund 750 CAD pro monat.

Es gibt diese möglichkeit ja auch erst für kinder ab 4 jahren:
Any child who turns four by December 31 of the current year may attend Junior Kindergarten.
Any child who turns five by December 31 of the current year, may attend Senior Kindergarten.
